Moringa - "miracle tree of life"

Moringa Oleifeira - also known as the miracle tree or horseradish tree - is a fast-growing aesthetic tree that originally comes from the Himalayas. It grows up to 4 m high in its first year and reaches a height of over 15 m when fully grown. It thrives in dry desert climates as well as in tropical rainforests.

Its versatile properties go hand in hand with significant benefits for boths humans and nature: its rapid growth counteracts desertification and serves as a livelihood for the often very poor indigenous people.

Almost all parts of the tree can be consumed. Moringa Oleifeira is by far one of the most vital and nutrient-rich plants of all.

Moringa products
fair and sustainable

We buy our raw materials directly from the producers. We offer fair prices and receive high-quality raw materials in return. Our suppliers follow the principle of sustainability - an important part of our quality standards.

As soon as a tree has reached a height of 1.70 m, it is cut back to the trunk. The cut branches are transported to a warehouse on the farm.

In the warehouse, the leaves are carefully separated and then spread out to dry in a nearby darkened room. Once the moisture has been released from the leaves, they are placed in a drying room, where they dry at a constant 38°C until the residual moisture content is a maximum of 6%. The leaves are turned at regular intervals in order to dry evenly and thoroughly. The moringa leaves are then examined for possible foreign bodies, first by hand and then using a metal detector.

The dry leaves are ground coarsely or finely as required. A sieve is used to check that the desired fineness is achieved. The end product is packed in sacks. It is then placed in protected storage rooms with a batch.

Finally, the end product undergoes a laboratory test. Once compliance with the legal requirements has been confirmed, the goods are ready for dispatch.

What our customers want to know about Moringa

Moringa has its origins in the Himalayan region of northwest India. Over the centuries, the moringa plant has spread across tropical and subtropical regions of the world, such as Africa, South America and Southeast Asia, where it is primarily cultivated and highly valued as a vegetable plant.

In the Himalayan mountains, the moringa tree was written about more than 3000 years ago. In the Indian folk medicine Ayurveda, moringa is regarded as God's gift to mankind. As Moringa can cure numerous diseases, it deserves to be called "the healing power of the Ayurvedic miracle tree".

These are mainly tropical and subtropical regions of the world, including African countries such as Kenya, Tanzania and Ghana, Paraguay and Ecuador in South America and eastern countries, especially India.

Moringa, Latin Moringa Oleifera, is also known as the "miracle tree", "tree of life" or "horseradish tree" and is considered the most nutritious plant in the world.

  • Moringa leaves are used for further processing into moringa powder or dried for tea
  • Moringa flowers are used as a spice
  • Moringa seeds are used for oil extraction, water purification and new plantations
  • The bark of the moringa tree is used to make rope
  • Moringa plant roots are used for medicinal purposes
  • Whole moringa plants are used as animal feed or as biomass for alternative energy

Unlike moringa, matcha contains caffeine. Both are superfoods and have a high proportion of valuable nutrients. In contrast to matcha, moringa has a higher content of nutrients: Calcium, iron, vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin E. Matcha is rich in chlorophyll, theanine, antioxidants, vitamins (A, C, E and B complex), beta-carotene and other micronutrients.

Yes, it is pressed from the seeds of the Moringa tree.

Moringa tea does not contain any theine or caffeine.

Moringa powder: 2 x daily a heaped teaspoon (approx. 3 g each)

Moringa tea: Brew approx. 1 heaped teaspoon of moringa leaves (1g) per cup with 80°C hot water and leave to infuse for 5-8 minutes.
