It all began in Bavaria, at the University of Sport in Munich. My heart has always belonged to sport - when it came to performance, experiencing your own limits and being fit.
I supplemented my sports studies with additional training as a diving, surfing and skiing instructor, added a distance learning course in business administration and attended various foreign language courses.
Immediately afterwards, I wanted to quench my thirst for adventure and traveled to the mysterious Amazon region for three months. I have always been fascinated by this incredibly rich and colorful variety of unknown plants and exotic fruits. I was determined to bring the fruits of the jungle to Europe, and so I founded the Amazonas company in 1990. There were many stumbling blocks to overcome, but after long and tough battles with the various authorities, I was finally allowed to be the first company to sell guarana on the German market. Perseverance and optimism were and still are my recipe for success: the Amazonas company is now a globally recognized specialist for exquisite natural products and fruit powders.
More than just a supplier - rather a partner
I have an intensive and trusting partnership with our producers in South America, with whom I travel to the respective growing regions during my regular visits. In the production facilities, I have the opportunity to get to know the processing of the raw materials on site and to discuss potential improvements. My Spanish and Portuguese language skills give me access to small family businesses that are passionate and dedicated to the cultivation and processing of their plants. The primary aim is to preserve the habitat as well as innovative and careful processing, which is of central importance for the quality of the products.

High-quality natural products - we are proud of this. Together with experts, we develop special formulas tailored to the respective product properties in order to maintain our health and fitness in a completely natural way. We sell products that were already valued by primitive peoples as remedies.
